The Royal Saxon, which arrived on Wednesday last, after a fair passage of one hundred and five days from Plymouth, has brought to the colony two hundred and forty-one emigrants, of whom one hundred and seventy-four are adults, forty-nine children from one to fourteen years of age, and eighteen infants. The surgeon superintendant (Dr. Grant) died on the 28th June, from exhaustion caused by erysipelas. Three other deaths and nine births occurred on the passage, but of the former two were children. The vessel being roomy and well suited for the conveyance of emigrants, was on arrival in a very cleanly state, and all on board looked remarkably healthy. To the captain and officers of the ship much credit is due for the efficient manner in which they appear to have performed their respective duties, as also to Dr. Coleman, one of the passengers, who took it upon himself the onerous duties of surgeon-superintendent, after the death of Dr. Grant.
