A Minnie DAVIS is living North Croydon and working as a washerwoman on the 1903 Electoral Roll.

Another Minnie DAVIS died Thursday, 10 June 1948 in Brisbane no father, and her mother is recorded as Maria YOUNG. This Minnie was born Monday, 17 August 1874 as Minnie YOUNG and married Daniel (aka George) DAVIS Tuesday, 2 August 1892

Narrative

Minnie was admitted to the Dunwich Benevolent Asylum - 18th March 1927 and Discharged - 20th October 1927.
She was admitted from Townsville by a friend named Mrs J. Walsh, the reason being 'old age'
some of the details on the asylum record about years in Queensland and where she was married are incorrect

The death entry for this Minnie DAVIS (nee STEDMAN) did not list any parents names and the BCC burial list says she was 80 years old and the Qld BDM Index says she was born England.

Buried in the same grave were Harry BROWN, aged 60 years, and James BURNS, also aged 60 years and both were buried on Monday, 5 October 1932.
According to the Qld BDM Index, James BURNS was born in Dubbo, NSW. An index entry has not been found for Harry BROWN. There is no known connection between any of these three people
