Edward Alfred was christened on Sunday, 1 November 1846, in Saint Mary Magdalene church Woolwich and his parents lived in Nightingale Vale. His father was a contractor.
After having three sons by Emily, the youngest being one year old, Emily died in 1880 and he remarried in 1881 to Minnie STEDMAN.
His death certificate states he died from peritonitis and wrongly claims that the youngest son was of the second marriage.
Edward was issued a Business License in Thornborough in May 1877 (Qld Gov Gazette, page 66, Wednesday, 4 July 1877)
