On the marriage certificate Mary was listed as a minor in the age column and so her date of birth is only an estimation.
Mary did not come to Australia but her sister Jane did come on the Chatsworth
with Andrew and his children and appears on the shipping list as his wife. There were two deaths of a Mary CHAPPEL in England in 1861. The death of Mary in Redruth had her as 80 years old and so was not the correct one.
