Mary is feeling a little lonely and un-loved because we seem to know so little about her. So, if you can help with any information about her family history, I would appreciate it if you were to write to me.
A death index entry has not been found and it is unknown if the story by Frank CLUNE is true or false.

Pubs followed pastoralists.
In 1857, R. A. Parker from Gayndah started the Bush Inn - where the Criterion Hotel now stands. That same year the town of Rockhampton was officially proclaimed and surveyed. Almost immediately it became for a few months the most talked-of town in Australia; a year after proclamation it had a floating population of 15,000 persons on their way to the new diggings at Canoona, thirty-one miles to the north. This field was found by Henry Chapple, a Cornish miner. But it proved only a shallow deposit. When the gold petered out, thousands of angry diggers from the south threatened to lynch Chapple. He fled from the scene, and died later in a hut, to be eaten by his own dog.

REICH —In loving momory of our dear father, Charles Reich, who departed this life, on the 5th of July 1918, after a long and painful illness.
Noble was he, condemning all things mean;
His life was simple, his soul serene ;
Sham know him not, he dreaded no disgrace,
Truth, simple truth, was written on his face.
Those who loved him sadly miss him
Though we knew that God knew best ;
When he eased his pain and suffering
And He laid him down to rest.
There is a bond, death cannot sever,
Loving remembrance lasts for ever.
Inserted by his sorrowing family.
