THE NAMBOUR "CHRONICLE." We are in receipt of the first issue of "The Chronicle," a weekly journal published at Nambour by Mr. Luke Wilkinson, formerly of Ipswich. The initial number is very creditably printed, and contains a large amount of interesting general and district news. There are also portraits of Mr. James Wilkinson, Federal member for Moreton (in which electorate Nambour is situated), and the Right Hon. C. C. Kingston, late Federal Minister for Trade and Customs. If the standard of the first number is maintained, the establishment of the journal should prove to he a welcome enterprise in the important district of which Nambour is the centre.

She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. McIntosh, who resided at one time in the Fernvale district. She was of a quiet, gentle disposition, ever ready to assist a neighbour when the occasion arose, and was very well liked by all who knew her. Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters-Mesdames G. Hallett, J. Bull, and Miss Lettie Wilkinson, all of Woodend. Mrs. James Foreman, of Woodend, is a sister, and Messrs.
