The fact that his wife was causing the residents to talk owing to her dancing too much with the boarder, was portion of the evidence given by a husband in the Supreme Court to-day when he petitioned for a divorce. Before the Chief Justice (Sir James Blair), Jacob Joseph Albert Schy, of Mt. Mulligan, petitioned for adivorce from Mary Ellen Schy, of Rangal, near Rockhampton.
Giving evidence, the plaintiff said that he married the defendant on May 30, 1917, at Ipswich, and they lived there until 1925. Three children were born. He went to Mt. Mulligan to live, and his wife joined him at a later date. They were happy for a time, but arguments took place over the fact that his wife was dancing too much with a man named Young. This man later came to board at plaintiff's house, and their conduct was quite in order, except that he had to tell his wife that the people of the district were talking about the amount of dancing she did with Young. In July, 1927, defendant went to Cairns for a holiday, and a few days later Young packed his belongings and left Mt. Mulligan. Witness wired his wife to come home, but she said she would stay a little while longer. He went to Cairns to get her, also to Mareeba, but could not locate her. He had not spoken to her until he served the papers on her at Rangal. She said to him, 'Thanks, Joe, for just going for desertion.' The man Young was on the verandah of the house, and, there were a couple of children running about. A decree nisi was granted, returnable after three months.

JUDGMENTS ABSOLUTE.
Judgment absolute was granted by his Honour the Chief Justice (Sir James Blair) in the Supreme Court yesterday in the petition of Jacob Joseph Albert Schy, of Mount Mulligan, for the dissolution of his marriage with Mary Ellen Schy, of Rangal, near Rockhampton, on the ground of desertion.
Mr. N. J. Moynihan (instructed by Mr. L. B. V. Moynihan) appeared for the plaintiff.
His Honour also granted judgment absolute in the petition of Henrietta May Davis, of New Sandgate Road, Clayfield, for the dissolution of her marriage with William M'Intyre Davis, accountant, on the ground of desertion.
Mr. W. J. Kennedy (Messrs. W. J. Kennedy and Co.) appeared for the plaintiff.
