FREEMAN.—In sad and loving memory of our dear dad and grand-dad, who passed away October 13, 1933.
Dear dad we miss you in your vacant chair,
Where you sat for many a long, long year,
We miss your dear, sweet, pleasant smile,
For the parting of you, darling dad,
was the saddest day of all.
I will know dad's voice with the angels,
His step on the golden shore,
Your smile of welcome, dear loved one,
When we meet to part no more.

The diamond wedding of Mr. and Mrs. John Freeman, Kunkala, was quietly celebrated at their home by members of the family on Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Freeman were married in the Church of England, Carlton, England on October 28, 1871, and came to Queensland in the year 1874, soon after taking up a farm at Kunkala, where they still reside. They have a family of seven children-John (Gayndah), Moses (Lanefield), Albert and Walter (Kunkala), Mrs. W. Yarrow (Rosewood), Mrs. T. Austin, and Mrs. Albert Embrey (Tallegalla). There are 35 grand-children and 16 great-grandchildren. When they arrived in the Rosewood district in the early '70's it was a mass of brigalow scrub, and the land had to be cleared fenced, and cultivated. Butter at that time was 2d. lb., eggs 3d. dozen and maize 8d. bushel. Mr. and Mrs. Freeman are two of the oldest members of the P.A.F.S.O.A. Lodge at Rosewood. Though feeble after a recent illness, Mrs. Freeman is able to move about her home. Mr. Freeman's eyesight failed many years ago, but otherwise he is well.

FREEMAN.—In fond and loving remembrance of our dear mother and grandmother, Eliza Freeman, who passed away on June 21, 1932.
Saddest day we ever knew,
Memory that makes us cry;
To think we loved her as we did,
And never said goodbye.
Rest, dearest mother, thy toil is o'er,
Thy loving hands shall toil no more;
No more thy gentle eyes shall weep,
Rest, darling mother, gently sleep.
Thou art not forgotten, dearest mother,
Or wilt thou ever be;
As long as life and memory last,
We will remember thee.

FREEMAN.—In loving memory of our dear mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother, who passed away on June 21, 1932.
In our home there's a beautiful picture,
To us it is dearer than gold;
It is the picture of our dear mother,
Now laid down in the cold,
A beautiful star on the grave
Of one we loved but could not save.
We cannot think your life is ended,
For you never said good-bye;
But all that is left, dear, mother,
Is to go and see your grave;
For in it we know you are sleeping,
The best mother and grandmother
God ever gave.
