Much sympathy was expressed for the bereaved relatives when it became known that Mrs. Annie Beckwith, wife of Robert Beckwith, of Limestone Ridges, Peak Crossing, had passed away. The late Mrs. Beckwith was the fifth daughter of the late Mr. Charles Scarborough, of Bundanba. In 190I, the late Mrs. Beckwith married Mr. Robert Beckwith, of Limestone Ridges, where she resided up till the time of her demise. Mrs. Beckwlth was a woman of sterling qualities, and, consequently, an exemplary wife and mother.
Of a kindly and gentle disposition, she was always highly esteemed and respected by those with whom she came in contact.Though in delicate health for some years, her demise was quite unexpected, as she only took seriously ill a few days prior to her death, and passed away as peacefully as she lived, surrounded by her loving husband, children, and grandchild. The late Mrs. Beckwlth was 56 years old, and leaves a husband and three sons, Cecil, Joseph, and William, and one daughter, Mrs. Cecil B. Pearson, and one grandchild, to mourn their sad loss. She is also survived by three brothers, Messrs. T. W. Scarborough (Coominya), J. Scarborough (Lark Hill), and W. Scarborough (Southport), and two sisters, Mesdames Nunn (Riverview) and A. Auld (Lark Hill). Three sisters and two brothers died before her. The funeral took place on Wednesday, October 12, to the Harrisville Cemetery, and was large and representative. Many beautiful wreaths and messages of condolence were received by the bereaved family. Rev. A. T. Walker, Harrisville, officiated at the graveside.

BECKWITH.—In loving memory of my dear mother, Annie Beckwith, who was called to rest on October 10, 1927.
I miss you because I loved you,
Fond memories I recall,
But the parting with you, dear mother,
Was the saddest day of all.
My heart just aches with sadness,
My eyes shed many a tear.
God alone knows how I miss you,
As it dawns the first sad year.
(Inserted by her loving son, Cecil.)
BECKWITH.—In loving memory of our dear mother, Annie Beckwith, who passed away on October 10, 1927.

BECKWITH.—In loving memory of our dear mother (Annie Beckwith), who passed away on October 10, 1927.
God's loving arms have taken
The one we loved so dear,
We trust Him with our greatest treasure.
She is safer there than here.
For some day we hope to meet her,
Some day, we know not when,
We'll clasp her hand, in a better land.
Never to part again.
