Obituary: Another old and highly respected pioneer of Killarney, in the person of Mrs. R. R. Medhurst, passed away after a brief illness in the Warwick General Hospital on September 28. The late Mrs. Medhurst, who was 78 years of age, was born in Toowoomba, and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Brown, 2 of the earliest settlers in Killarney. She married the late Mr. Rohan Roland Medhurst at Killarney in 1889, and resided there up till the time of her death. She was predeceased by her husband, one daughter .(Mrs. C. G. Grayson) and 2 sons (Private H. J. Medhurst and Private C. R. Medhurst, both of whom were killed in action in the Great War). She leaves to mourn their loss one son, Mr. G. R. Medhurst .(Killarney), 2 daughters, Mrs. R. Bennett and Mrs. H. Hancock (Killarney), 15 grandchildren and 5, great grandchildren. Her remains were laid to rest in the Presbyterian portion of the Killarney cemetery, Rev. A, W. Laurie officiating at the graveside.
