Francis Grayson (75), a widely respected resident of Killarney, died early on Sunday morning following a long illness. His life was one of great activity, and up till the time of his death, he was a member of almost every public body in Killarney. Born at Acacia Creek in 1864, he came with his parents to Killarney in 1865 and resided at "Sunset Villa," Killarney, ever since. He was the second son of the late Allen Grayson, one of the earliest pioneers of the district.
Deceased was a member of the Glengallan Shire Council for 28 years, being chairman for one term. He was prominent in Church of England affairs and for 47 years, up to the time of his death, was people's warden. A foundation member of the Orange Lodge, he was secretary for a number of years and was also a past master. Until last year, when he became ill, he was secretary of the Masonic Lodge, and also a Past Master. Killarney Agricultural Show Society also benefited by his services, and at the time of his death he was treasurer. Since the formation of the Killarney Co-operative Dairy Association 17 years ago Mr. Grayson had been member of the directorate.
He is survived by his widow, four sons—Allen (Killarney), William (Urbenville, N.S..W.), George (Townsville), and Hilton (Killarney)—four daughters—Misses M. and E. Grayson (Killarney), Mrs. W. Morgan (Tannymorel), and Mrs. S. Pedersen (Koumala)— and eight grandchildren. Messrs. W. Grayson (Killarney), E. Grayson (Tannymorel), and Mrs. M. Milward (Mt. Colliery) are surviving brothers and sister.
The first portion of the burial service, which was attended by a large number of mourners, was conducted at Christchurch Church of England by the Rev. J. C. Ramsay, while at the Killarney Cemetery a Masonic ceremony was conducted by Very Wor. Bro. J. C. Ramsay, the Orange Lodge phase of the burial service at the graveside being performed by Mr. J. Mogridge (Maleny).
"An example to everyone who knew him, as his religion was based on firm principles of morality and virtue," was the closing tribute to the deceased.

Diligent search has been made by the police and a number of civilians, but no trace of the missing man can be found.

Strange Disappearance of a Well Known Resident of Warwick.
As is now generally known, Mr. Robert Grayson has been missing since Saturday week. His friends, thinking that he might at any time turn up, particularly requested us last week not to make mention of the disappearance-hence our silence. Mr. Grayson, who was formerly a Sub-inspector of Police, was last seen at Mr. Sweeney's Hotel, in company with Mr. E. Malone, on the evening of the 7th inst., at about 11 o'clock. He and Malone had had one or two glasses together, and the latter tried to induce Grayson to remain all night. This, however, Mr. Grayson would not hear of, as his family would be wondering what had become of him; so Malone bade him good-night, and that was, to all accounts, the last time he was seen. All along the Condamine the pools have been dragged, and charges of dynamite exploded, but to no effect; search has been made for a radius of several miles round Warwick, through scrub and bush, quarry hole, and all likely places for a person to tumble down in the dark, but with no trace of the missing man. The police have been out day and night displaying singular zeal. A large search party will start out this morning, and Sergeant Kelly will be glad if all those who can possibly spare the time, will volunteer their services and meet in front of the Police Barracks between half-past ten and eleven this morning. It is strange that a man, especially one of Mr. Grayson's age, should be lost to view for so long; he can not possibly have gone any great distance, and we feel sure that, if a large party were organised as suggested by Sergeant Kelly, the missing man or some news about him will be found before sundown.

MR. THOMAS GRAYSON
On October 13, the death occurred of Mr. Thomas Grayson, at his residence " Lakeview,'' South Killarney, at the age of 70 years, after an illness extending over a period of months. The deceased was born at Buccinnell, County Armagh, Ireland. He was married in Ireland, and shortly afterwards came to Queensland in the sailing ship Great Queenslander, eventually going to Killarney, where he resided for the remainder of his life. When he first went to Killarney he was employed by the late Mr. Theo. Howell on "Melrose" station. He was one of the original settlers of the homesteads opened up at Killarney in the seventies, hence another of the fast diminishing ranks of the old pioneers has passed away. He was a man of great character, one whose word was his bond, and a successful and competent farmer. Together with his late wife, who predeceased him twelve and a half years ago, and his youngest son, he took a trip home to Ireland in 1908. During his illness he was attended by the members of his family, with loving care and attention.
He leaves to mourn his loss six sons and seven daughters; James. (Koreelah, N.S.W.); Thomas John (Loch Lomond), Allan (Mt. Collery); William Mawhut (Brisbane); Alexander and Norman (Killarney); Mrs. Gallagher (Brisbane); Mrs, Mutch (Freestone); Mrs. Fletcher (Koreelah, N.S,W,); Mrs. Graves (Swan Creek); Mrs. Ellis (Sandgate); Mrs. Mogrldge (Killarney); and Miss Flo. Grayson (Killarney); also 41 grand-children and three great grandchildren.
