The following is the report of the state of the Benevolent Asylum, Dunwich, for the week ending 24th November: In the house at last report, 280 males, 56 females ; since admitted, 29 males, 4 females ; discharged, 5 males died : 20th, Alexander Stephenson, aged 82, born Paisley; 21st, Janet Beard, aged 44, born Calcutta; 22nd, Seyab, aged 28, born Ceylon. Remaining, 302 males, 50 females. The superintendent acknowledges with thanks the receipt of parcels of newspapers for the inmates from Messrs. B. L. Barnett, J. C. Beal, and a donor name unknown.
