A double-wedding was solemnised by the Rev Norman Millar, in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Brisbane, on April 15, when Mr. Eric M'Kim Twemlow (eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Twemlow, Bell) married Miss Mary (Minnie) Florence Hooper (eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs, W. Hooper, Stirling, Coolangatta), and Mr. Herbert Arthur Webb (youngest son of the late Mr. Webb and of Mrs. Wales, Cooktown) married Miss Margery Maud Hooper (youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Hooper, Stirling, Coolangatta). The firstmentioned bride, Miss Mary Hooper, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory angel skin lace mounted on ivory mariette, the bodice being tucked, while the sleeves were in puffed effect. The embroidered veil was lent by Mrs. Twemlow, sen. The bride wore a necklace of crystals, the gift of the bridegroom, and carried a bouquet of roses and eucharis lilies. Mr. Martin Garske was best man. The younger bride, Miss Margery Hooper, who was also given away by her father, were a gown of Chantilly lace mounted on ivory mariette, featuring flared lace sleeves and an Empire bodice. Her veil of silk net and lace was lent by a cousin, Mrs. L. M'Clelland (Ingham). The bride wore a gold wristlet watch (the gift of the bridegroom), and carried a bouquet of eucharis lilies, roses, and dahlias, from which hung a lucky horseshoe. Mr. Klein Mazlin was best man. The bridesmaids, Misses Isabelle and Dorothy Hooper, were frocked alike in apple green floral mariette, with green silk straw hats. The frocks were fashioned with cape collars and double puffed sleeves. They carried bouquets of pink Radiance roses and dahlias. The wedding reception was held at the Hotel Canberra. Mrs. W. Hooper wore a gown of blue Chantilly lace, and she carried red roses and dahlias. Mrs. Twemlow's frock was of brown crepe de Chine, and she carried antignon and roses. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Twemlow spent their honeymoon at Tamborine Mountain, and Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Webb sailed by the Ormiston for Cairns, and will tour the hinterland. Mrs. Twemlow's travelling frock was of navy crepe de Chine with a white krinkle crepe cape and gauntlet cuffs. Her hat was of navy velour to match. Mrs. Webb wore a travelling frock of forget-me-not blue floral Marocain made with epaulettes and gauntlet sleeves, and with this she wore a white cocktail hat and veil.
