BRIDE IN FROCK OF IVORY SATIN CLOQUE
HILL — HAUENSCHILD. — A softly draped frock of ivory satin cloque was worn by Miss Doreen Constance Hauenschild (second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Hauenschild, Surfers' Paradise) last evening, when Canon George Neal officiated at her marriage to Mr. Leslie Clement Hill (eldest son of Mrs. A. Hill, Coorparoo, and the late Mr. A. Hill) at St. Paul's Church of England, East Brisbane, at 6.30.
THE bride was given away by her father. Her frock was finished at the neckline with orange buds, and the bias-cut skirt extended to a petal shaped train. A top knot of orange blossoms held in place her embroidered tulle veil, and she carried a sheaf of water-lilies and blue delphiniums. Waterlily blue chiffon, worn with a bolero, and finished at the waistline with a swathed cummerbund, was worn by Miss Marjorie Hauenschild, who attended her sister as bridesmaid. Her tulle veil was worn with a top knot of pink flowers to match her sheaf of gladioli.
Mr. Norman Hill (brother of the bridegroom) was best man. At the reception, which was later held at the Hotel Canberra, Mrs. Hauenschild received the guests wearing grey embossed crepe, relieved with white, and a hat to tone. She carried pink and cream roses. The bridegroom's mother chose black, grey, and white figured angelskin, with, a black hat and a posy of red roses. Subsequently Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Hill left by car for the North Coast. The bride wore black silk, patterned with graduating white spots, and a black hat.
