Information, was received in Brisbane yesterday of the death of Mr. J. B. Scurfield, postmaster at Ingham, which occurred yesterday morning. Mr. Scurfield, who was 62 years of age, entered the service of the Post and Telegraph Department in 1874.

There is a burial in Toowoomba for a William STRETON Monday, 11 November 1918, aged 71 years and the Qld BDM Index records him as William STROTEN dying Sunday, 10 November 1918 with a father named Henry STROTEN and mother unknown FRYAR.
STRETEN — The Friends of Mr. and Mrs. WILLIAM EDWARD STRETEN of Bruce street, Caledonian Estate, are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral of their late, beloved Father and Father-in-law, William Streten, late of Greenmount, which is appointed to leave the General Hospital at 3 p.m., THIS DAY for the Toowoomba Cemetery.
