IMPORTED CLYDESDALE STALLION. The first of the animals for the Ipswich district purchased by Mr. John Mahon, (Principal of the Gatton Agri cultural College, during his recent trip to the old country, arrived here yesterday morning. This is a fine young Clydesdale stallion, for Mr. J. W. Lowis, of Amberley. Mr. Lowis brought his new purchase up by train, and he was quartered at the Palais Royal stables yesterday morn ing. The horse was bred by Mr. William Hunter, of Lochans, Scot land. He is by Ajax, by Baron's Pride (the celebrated Loch Fergus strain) ; damn, Baron's Eva. In age he is a year off, and he is named Glanlaggy. As the animanl was taken through the streets of Ipswich yester day morning he was greatly admired. He is a splendidly developed colt, and moves with great freedom of action. He appeared to enjoy the liberty of the streets again, and was eager to trot and show himself off whenever asked to do so. Glenlaggy should be a great acquisition to the district, and doubtless will be seen in the show-ring next year.

ACCIDENT TO A VALUABLE STALLION Mr. J. W. Lowis of Willowbank, the well known breeder of draught stock, had the misfortune to have his champion horse, Young Glenlaggy, meet with an accident a few days ago. It endeavoured to jump a fence and badly injured one of its fore shoulders. Mr. Lowis intended exhibiting him at the forthcoming Ipswich show, but is afraid that the accident will prevent his doing so.

DEATH OF A VALUABLE STALLION. Mr. J. W Lowis of Willowbank, has had the misfortune to lose his champion draught stallion, Young Glenlaggy, which met with an accident some two or three weeks ago, and had eventually to be destroyed.
