Paying a tribute to the late Mrs. Margaret Hunter at a service held in the Park Presbyterian Church, Glenelg Street, South Brisbane, yesterday, Rev. J. Gibson (ex-Moderator-General) said that those who knew her perceived in her a character that was far from the ordinary. Her nature was rich in love and affection and it was from their mother that her children got their first and lasting conceptions of God. Revs. Robert Millar (ex-Moderator) and N. H. Joughin (of the Park Presbyterian Church) assisted in the service, and Rev. W. Wilson Smith (Toowong) was organist. The service at the graveside was conducted by Revs. R. Millar and J. Gibson.
The chief mourners were Mr. J. A. J. Hunter, M.P. (son) and Mrs. J. A. J. Hunter, Rev. J. A. Hunter, of Rockhampton (son, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Queensland) and Mrs. J. A. Hunter, Mr. Thomas E. Hunter, South Brisbane (son) and Mrs. Hunter, and Misses Peggy, and Marion and Master Alex. Hunter (grandchildren), Mr. Alex. Hunter, of Brisbane (son) and Mrs. Alex. Hunter, Mr. Allan Hunter; Wynnum South (son) and Mrs. Allan Hunter, Rev. and Mrs. T. G. Allan (son-in-law and daughter, of Gympie).

MRS. MARGARET HUNTER.
The death occurred at Gympie last Monday night, at the residence of her daughter, of Mrs. Margaret Hunter, widow of the late Mr. S. F. Hunter, who passed away in 1914. The late Mrs. Hunter was born at Prestonpans, Scotland, in 1851, and came to Brisbane in the middle 80's. With the exception of a few years which were spent at Burleigh Heads and Wellington Point, the deceased lady resided at Highgate Hill, until in 1929 she went to Gympie to live with her daughter, the wife of Rev. T. G. Allan. The late Mrs. Hunter was well-known in social circles, and was a keen worker for her church. Though generally she enjoyed good health, she had not been too well during the last year. To mourn her loss the late Mrs. Hunter leaves five sons Mr. J. A. J. Hunter (member for Maranoa in the House of Representatives), Professor Dr. S. F. Hunter, M.A., D.D. (of Knox College, Dunedin, N.Z.), Rev. J. A. Hunter, M.A., B.D. (of Rockhampton, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Queensland), Messrs. Thomas E. (Brisbane), Alex. (Brisbane), and Allan (Wynnum South), and one daughter, Mary, wife of Rev. T. G. Allan, Gympie. After a service at the Park Church, South Brisbane, at 2 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, the funeral left for the South Brisbane cemetery.
