The Qld BDM Index says Margaret was born 1910 but a relative writes to say that it was 1911 and the index for the birth was 11/008294. It may be a mistake or a late registration.

MR. EDWARD JOHN MARDON.
There passed away at the Cairns District Hospital at one o'clock yesterday Mr. Edward John Mardon. The late Mr. Mardon has travelled for Messrs Elliott, Donaldson and Douglas, Ltd., Brisbane, for some 13 years and was a well known and highly respect commercial man. Some six weeks ago Mr. Mardon entered the hospital, an old complaint re-asserting itself, and it eventually became necessary to amputate the left foot.
From this operation Mr. Mardon never really rallied. All that was humanely possible had been done.
Besides being an honorary superintendent of the Queensland .Ambulance Transport Brigade, the late gentleman was a Freemason of nearly 40 years' standing. The late Mr. Mardon leaves one son and four daughters to mourn their loss. Mr. Roy N. Mardon, the son, is connected with Simco Ltd., Brisbane, and arrived in Cairns on Wednesday night. Miss Mardon is at present training at the Lady Bowen Hospital, Brisbane. Mrs. JacobJacob, the second daughter is the wife of Rev. J. E. Jacob, of Nambour. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob spent several years as missionaries at Dobis. Mrs. Procter, the third daughter, is with her husband, associated with the Burgowan Coal Mine, Torbanlea. Mrs. Ormerod, of Brisbane, is the youngest daughter.
