A very pretty little wedding (says the "Croydon Mining News") and one In which much Interest was manifested, as both parties have many friends here, eventuated, when Mr. A. R. Adkins, better known as " Suu," was married to Mrs. Robert Marsh by the Rev. I. J. T, French, the ceremony taking place at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Shaw, Sircom-street, The bride looked very well in a pretty dress, semi-empire, of brown silk striped ninon. The bodice was prettily trimmed with a square yoke of Oriental all-over, finished with blue silk buttons and tassels.

Mr. Anthony Adkins, formerly in business as a wheelwright in this town, and one of the oldest residents, died suddenly this morning from heart disease.
The deceased was a relative of Mr. J. T. Hill, of Pine Mountain. Some time ago Mr. Adkins, who was then in indifferent health, paid a visit to Ipswich, and was for a time an inmate of the Hospital. When he left the institution, however, he had almost completely recovered, and spoke in very high terms of the treatment he received at the hands of tie Medical Superintendent and nurses.
