BYRNE-HENDL&.-A very pretty wedding was celebrated on Saturday June 27th., at Holy Trinity Church, Valley, by the Rev. Mr. Ganley. The bridegroom was Mr. George James Byrne, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Byrne, of Ithaca ; the bride, Miss Esther Maud Hendle, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hendle of Warmington, Bowen Hills. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a handsome dress of ivory satin charmeuse with an overdress of silk embossed Brussels lace. The bodice was made in American style, yoke of ninon studded with seed pearls, the shirt being draped at the left side and caught up with buckle and orange blossoms. The square train was ornamented with seed pearls, and a horseshoe of orange blossoms. She also wore a long embroidered tulle veil over a coronet of orange blossoms, kindly lent by a friend. The gift of the bridegroom was a gold bangle and a shower bouquet of roses and sweet peas and asparagus fern, with white satin streamers. She was attended by two brides - bridesmaids-Miss Em. Hendle and Miss N. Byrne. They wore pretty frocks of champagne coloured crepe de Chine over shell pink satin. The bodices were made in American style trimmed with guipure lace and oriental insertion, draped skirts. Black hats with panne velvet crowns of tango shade, large tango plumes tipped with black. They each carried bouquets of pink sweet peas with shell pink streamers. The bridegroom's gifts to the bridesmaids were a drop pendant and a gold bangle respectively. Mr. A. Hendle acted as best man and Mr. D. Byrne as groomsman. After the ceremony the bridal party were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Hendle at a wedding breakfast. The centre piece of the bride's table was a handsome wedding cake with good luck emblems. Mrs. Hendle, mother of the bride, wore a black pailette with black silk lace yoke and vest of black folded ninon, hat en suite. Mrs. Byrne, mother of the bridegroom, wore a grey pailette, over dress of black chantilly, lace hat of grey and black. The bride's travelling dress was a navy blue cheviot cloth costume.
