THE medical report of the Brisbane Hospital for the three weeks ending 8th January, as read by the resident surgeon, at a meeting of the committee on the 11th instant, showed that on that date there remained 187 patients; admitted during the three weeks, 126; discharged cured, 15; convalescent, 42; relieved, 35; in statu quo, 3; sent to the convalescent home, 8; sent to the Dunwich Asylum, 1; died, 12; number of out-patients treated at the hospital, 172; at the town dispensary, 93; surgeons in attendance for the three weeks, Drs. Little, Bancroft, and Marks; physicians, Drs. Byrne, Furley, and Taylor. The following are the deaths which occurred during the three weeks: James Edgar, aged 60, admitted 14th December, died 19th December of disease of kidneys; Rogers M'Gatrick, 20, admitted 16th December, died 19th December of rheumatic fever; Grace Murrie, 41, admitted 3rd December, died 20th December of fibroid tumour; Oscar James, 26, admitted 13th December, died 22nd December of typhoid fever; Thomas Collins, 60, admitted 3rd December, died 23rd December of apoplexy; Walter Charles Marshall, 26, admitted 3rd. November, died 24th December of phthisis; John Wood, 24, admitted 23rd December, died 28th December of typhoid fever; Julia Spiers, 24, admitted 6th December, died 29th December of typhoid fever; John H. Richardson, 23, admitted 22nd December, died 31st December of typhoid fever; Wm. Carstens, 21, admitted 1st December, died 1st January of compound fracture of femur and shock; Margaret Coulson, 42, admitted 29th December, died 2nd January of typhoid fever; and James Robinson, 22, admitted 23rd November, died 3rd January of typhoid fever.

Also buried ( Monday, 18 October 1880 ) with Alexander is Morris Owen MURPHY, born in Brisbane Tuesday, 8 June 1880 and died some where in Queensland Saturday, 16 October 1880 and whose mother was Mary Ann MURPHY. For his birth and death, there was no father recorded.
His sons William Thomas and Richard Robert and his grand daughter, Ellen Sarah EVANS are also buried with Alexander.
MOONEY—FRASER.—On the 8th September, at St. Stephen's Cathedral, by the Rev. D. Fouhy, assisted by the Rev. J B. Breen, Thomas Joseph, second son of Thomas Mooney, to Catherine Mackenzie, youngest daughter of the late Thomas Fraser.
