A WEDDING of wide interest in Queensland was celebrated in Sydney on Wednesday last, when Miss Binnie Marlay, only daughter of Mr. W. F. Marlay, of Toowoomba and Clayfield, Brisbane, and the late Mrs. Marlay, was married to Mr. Mervyn Crombie, of Katandra, Hughenden, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Crombie, formerly of Toowoomba, at All Saints' Church, Woollahra. The bride was given away by her uncle, Major John Doyle. She wore a tunic dinner gown of palest corn yellow organza, showing large puff sleeves and a white stencil pattern. Her wideleafed leghorn hat was swathed with white georgette, and in place of the usual bridal bouquet she carried a cream French beaded handbag.
Miss Sheila Shekelton, of Double Bay, a cousin of the bride, was the only bridesmaid, and she wore a white chiffon frock patterned in cornflower blue and henna, and made on similar lines to that of the bride. Her picture Tuscan hat was trimmed with ribbons to match the shades patterned on her frock.
The bridegroom was attended by Mr. R. D. Crombie, of Toowoomba. After the ceremony the bride's aunts, Mrs. K. S. Shekelton and Miss Carlotta Doyle, entertained the guests at a reception at the Hotel Carlton.

GALLAGHER.— In loving memory of our dear little son and only child, Jimmy, who died November 28, 1898, aged 8 years 3 months.
We had a little treasure once
Who was our joy and pride,
We loved him, ah, perhaps too well,
For soon he slept and died.
All is dark within our dwelling.
Lonely are our hearts to-day,
For the one we loved so dearly
Has for ever passed away.
Inserted by his sorrowing parents, Michael and Norah Gallagher, Lutwyche.
