A wedding of interest was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Caboolture, on February 29, when Mr. Gilbert Carseldine (second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Carseldine, Gregorsford, Upper Caboolture) was married to Miss Emily Ethel Baker (sixth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Baker, of Lacey's Creek, Dayboro). The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. H. Foulkes. The church had been decorated by friends, and Miss Ellie M'William presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of white mariette, trimmed with lace and finished with orange blossoms. The veil, which was kindly lent by her sister (Mrs. W. H. Goeldner), was of pale pink tulle, arranged in cap fashion, and finished with a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of roses and carnations, which, with a gold wristlet watch, was the gift of the bridegroom. Miss Thelma Carseldine (sister of the bridegroom), who attended as bridesmaid, chose a frock of bois de rose crepe de Chine finished with lace, with which she wore a large black hat. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and carnations, which, with a handbag, was the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. R. Glover (cousin of the bride) carried out the duties of best man. At the conclusion of the ceremony a reception was held at M William's Cafe, only immediate relatives and friends being present. Subsequently the bridal pair left for Coolangatta, where the honeymoon is being spent, when the bride wore a travelling frock of navy mariette relieved with champagne, with a hat to harmonise. Their future home will be at Moorina, Upper Caboolture.
