DONAGHEY.—In loving memory of my dear husband and father, John Donaghey, who passed away, 29th January, 1928.
Treasured memories of one so dear,
Are often recalled by a silent tear,
Dearer to memory than words can tell
Is the one we lost and loved so well.

MR. JACK DONAGHEY.
Genuine and deep regret will lie felt by a wide circle of friends at the death of Mr. Jack Donaghey, which occurred shortly after 4 o'clock yesterday morning at the Rockhampton General Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Rockhampton and was the fourth son of the late Mr. S. Donaghey and Mrs. Donaghey, West-street, and was only 54 years of age when the call came.
For many years he was on the mechanical staft of "The Daily Record" and "Evening News," and he always proved himself as an excellent employee. Of a quiet and unostentatious disposition, he won many friends for his uprightness and sterling character, and the sympathy of the whole of the members of the Printing Industry Union, of which the deceased was a foundation member of the Rockhampton branch, as well as a wide circle of friends, will be extended to the bereaved widow and family in the great loss of a devoted husband and a tried and trusted friend. He is survived by his widow and six in family, Mrs. R. Wynd, Mrs. S. Stickley, Elma and Mavis (daughters), and Manly and Kelvin (sons). The relatives are Mrs. R. H. Nye, Brisbane, and Mrs. J. Millroy, Rockhampton (sisters), and his brothers William (Sydney), Joseph, Samuel, Percy, Edward (Ipswich), and George. The funeral took place yesterday afternoon at the Rockhampton cemetery, the graveside service being carried out by the Rev. C. K. Luton, of the Baptist Tabernacle, and included in the large gathering were many members of the printing industry in Rockhampton. The many beautiful wreath's and deep expressions of regret testified the high esteem in which he was held.

MRS. JANE DONAGHEY.
Another of the old pioneers of the sixties passed away on Saturday last, when Mrs. Jane Donaghey, relict of Mr. Samuel Donaghey, quietly went to sleep after a rather lengthy illness. The deceased lady had attained the ripe age of 96.
Mrs. Donnghey was born in Belfast in 1845 and there she married, the young couple decided to come to Australia and they made the voyage in the sailing ship Wansfel, which berthed at Bowen in 1863. Her first child, Mrs. R.H. Nye (Brisbane) was born on the vessel. They did not remain long in Bowen and in 1865 they came to Rockhampton where Mr. Donaghey, who was a baker by trade, died in 1905.
Mrs. Donaghey, who for many years was a ardent worker for the Campbell street Methodist Church, is survived by Mesdames R. N. Nye (Brisbane) and James Millroy (Rockhampton) and Messrs. William (Tamworth), Joseph, Samuel, Percy, Edward, George (Rockhampton) and Edward (Ipswich). There are 37 grandchildren. The funeral yesterday was very largely attended.
