OBITUARY.
MR. THOMAS BIMROSE.
HERBERTON, November 8.
The death occurred at Herberton on Tuesday last, November 5, of Mr. Thomas Bimrose, at the age of 70 years. He was one of the original pioneers of the district, to which he came when very young. His parents came to the North from England in the early days. His father and mother were married at Warwick, Queensland, in December, 1862, and lived at several places in Queensland before arriving at Herberton, where they became owners and licensees of the Herberton Hotel, which remained in the family for many years.
Mr. Thomas Bimrose was born at Bowen, and was one of a family of eleven sons and daughters, of whom now only two survive, namely, Mr. Herbert Bimrose, who was the first white boy to be born in Herberton, and a sister, Mrs. A. Anderson, of Townsville.
Deceased was engaged in farming near Wondecla for many years, and was well known in the town and district. He had suffered from ill health for some years, and succumbed at length to a painful illness borne with great patience. He leaves a grown-up family-Mrs. F. Holmes, of Brisbane: Mrs. O. Mills, Tully: Mr. P. Bimrose. Rockhampton: Mr. C Bimrose, Darwin; and Mrs. N. Harris, Ravenshoe. He was predeceased by his wife and a daughter. Mrs. A. Aultman, who left two children.
The interment took place at the Herberton cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, service being held at the Methodist Church, and the last rites performed by Rev. C. Lanham. The funeral was largely attended.

As you can see, very little is known of Rose, so if you can help with identifying Rose, please write with any information that you can provide. It would be much appreciated.
A quiet wedding took place on Tuesday, September 18, at Innisfail, when Mrs. I. Bimrose, of Herberton, was married to Mr. L. R. Gough. Mr. and Mrs. Gough left the following day on a tour of the southern States. They will remain in the south for some time and will attend the Melbourne Cup. Intimate friends and relatives attended the following, including Mrs. R. Stevens (Tolga), Mrs. Campbell (Herberton), Mrs. Klass (Innisfail) and Mrs. A. E. Bimrose (Herberton).
MRS. I. BIMROSE FAREWELLED.
Mrs. Bimrose, on the eve of her marriage to Mr. L. R. Gough, was guest of honor at an afternoon tea given by her daughter, Mrs. W. J. Klass, who was ably assisted by Miss Catherine Elston. Mrs. Bimrose wore a small model frock in flag colorings.
During a very pleasant afternoon tea Mrs. Campbell (Adelaide) in a neat little speech presented the guest of honor with a beautiful rock crystal necklace and a crystal entree dish.
Mrs. Bimrose suitably responded.

WHALLEY.— In loving memory of our dear wife and mother SARAH JANE who departed this life January 14, 1915.
We saw her suffering day by day,
It caused us bitter grief
To see her slowly pine away,
And could not give relief.
Not dead to us, we loved her dear,
Not lost, but gone before,
She lives with us in memory still,
And will for evermore.
Inserted by her loving Husband and Children.
