BIGGENDEN, Thursday.— Mr. Sidney C. Corscr, a well-known resident of Biggenden, lies in the Biggenden Hospital in a serious condition as the result of a fall from a horse. He suffered a fractured skull.
The accident occurred about midday, when he was engaged in shifting cattle to a property near the Bluff. At the time of the happening Mr. Corser was alone. The first intimation that anything was amiss came when his daughter, Beatrice, a schoolgirl, who had shortly before left his side, saw his horse coming along the road without its rider.
She retraced her steps and searched for her father without avail. Riding on, she met a boy named Britnell, who assisted her in the search, and found her father by the roadside. Apparently she had ridden past without noticing her father on the first search. Help was quickly obtained, and the injured man was brought into hospital about 1.30 o'clock. It appears that Mr. Corser was riding a young horse, but up to the time his daughter and the man who was assisting him in moving the cattle left him had had no trouble with the animal. Mr. Corser has long resided in the district and is a brother of Mr. Bernard Corser, M.H.R., and Messrs. Stewart, H. E. and Cyril Corser, of Maryborough.
At a late hour last night inquiry revealed that his condition was still serious and he had not regained consciousness.
